Season 3
Holy cow it's been a while since I updated this thing........ So. We're finally done with the Demon Sorcerer Arc, and back to the Magical Talismans. But wait! The Magic has gone into the ancestors of the Noble Animals of the Chinese Zodiac! Talisman Hunt all over again...
Let's get to the rundown of Season 3, then. No, I don't have synopses of the episodes to showcase to the public yet, but I'm working on those. Here's the order of the animals this time:
Episode 1: Rabbit
Episode 2: Sheep
Episode 3: Snake
Episode 4: Dog
Episode 5: Rat
Episode 6: Horse
Episode 7: Tiger
Episode 8: Pig and Rooster
Episode 9: Monkey
Episode 10: Ox
Episodes 11-13: Dragon/Finale
No special rhyme or reason for the Animals being discovered in this order; it's just how it worked out. More importantly, though....
Jackie's getting a new ally. No, he's not going to wear THAT hat, but he will be wearing one all the same. Just seemed like a good silhouette to use here.... don't judge me. Haha.
At any rate, new ally for Jackie. You'll be getting the first taste of him on Friday, and you'll be hearing more about him as time progresses. It is my hope that you enjoy what he brings to the table for the Chan Clan; and he's really not who you'd expect. There's a lot I want to say about Clive, as he's more ore less my creation, but still. Best not to reveal too much so early in the game.
More posts to come in the future, even if it takes a while! ~Yaxon

August Newsletter
Well, we made it past Tchang Zu. Can't work on Bai Tsa IMMEDIATELY, but I'll get to it when I can. Which may happen to be winter break. Time will tell, but my semester is looking busy already, and I haven't attended all my classes yet...
At any rate, Bai Tsa's episode is in the planning stages. Will her story be a repeat of the OTL, or will she attempt to resurrect ancient Atlantis? I won't spoil anything, because the chapter's only in the infancy stages right now; only being talked about. I'm still giving Jamey the opportunity to take the reins for the episode. Minus the fight scenes of course, because it seems that I rock at those, apparently.
After Bai's debut, we'll have hit the halfway point in Season 2. The line-up for the latter half of the season goes like this:
Episodes 7&8: The hunt for the Demon Portals is put on hold. Jackie gets a request in his regular line of work as an archaeologist, but the venture quickly becomes more than a simple excavation in Asia. Daolon Wong enters the fray to lay claim to a powerful, ancient artifact, as does Shendu and Bai Tsa. However, the ancient city is heavily booby-trapped, so the relic is not going to be easy to get to. With enemies and traps on all sides, can Jackie live through this thrilling adventure? And what role do the Jyutlong play in all this?
Episode 9: Xiao Fung, Demon of the Wind, is released on the world. What does he have in store for our heroes...?
Episode 10: Dai Gui is released from the Netherworld, and he teams up with Daolon Wong to take down Jackie Chan. It won't be that hard to vanquish the Earth Demon, surprisingly...
Episode 11-13 (Finale): Finally, Tso Lan the Moon Demon has been released. Aside from Bai Tsa, he will be one of the toughest for Jackie to take down. Tso Lan has plans for the Earth, and he won't let being grounded stop him from achieving his goals. Taking down the remaining Demon Sorcerers won't be easy...

August Post #1
Two more Demon Sorcerers coming up, and the Chan Clan will have to do their utmost best to survive the oncoming storms. Defeating these two Demons will not be easy; they're going to have to pull out all the stops.
First up, in Chapter Eighteen, Jackie rumbles with the Thunder Demon, Tchang Zu. Tchang Zu will be released before the Chan Clan can get to Hollywood, but he will not rule over Hollywood with an iron fist. No, the Thunder Demon will be taking a road trip up north, to the city of Seattle, to be exact. The Space Needle will make a fine Palace to rule from, and Tchang Zu has plans to demonstrate his authority over the bustling city of Seattle. It's up to Jackie and the Chan Clan to put a stop to his schemes and return him to the Netherworld, like Po Kong and Hsi Wu before him.
Next, in Chapter Nineteen, Bai Tsa the Water Demon makes her debut, and has plans of her own. Bai Tsa's plot is unknown at the moment, as I intend to give Jamey Gamer the chance to write her Chapter. But what I can tell you is that Bai Tsa will not be immediately sealed away like the others, like Hsi Wu before her. Unlike Hsi Wu, however, she will be free until the finale. And will be working alongside her brother Shendu to remain that way. Bai Tsa is a slippery one...
I can't say when Chapters Eighteen and Nineteen will be out, especially Nineteen, but I will say that I will attempt to release Eighteen before my fall semester begins on the 26. From there, writing might be stalled once more. Hopefully I will have made improvements after taking a creative writing class, so you all can look forward to that.
Until next time! ~Yaxon

July Post
Hello again. Yes, it's been eight months since the last post on this blog, and seven months since I last updated JCA:A, or just about. College kept me occupied up until May, and then I went on a vacation with my family, and then I got a serious case of writer's block...
You may be angry with the lack of updates, and perhaps you have the right to be. Chapter Seventeen has been putting me through the wringer; it's probably the toughest chapter that I've had to write for, and may come out slightly longer than normal chapters.
Chapter Seventeen sees the return of Queen/Dark Jade. I'm not a huge fan of the character, but I know a lot of people are, and that's part of the reason that this chapter is so difficult to write; I want to do the character justice, even if I'm not too into the character. I've already got a rough idea of how I want everything to turn out, and now it's a matter of writing it all out. Once Chapter Seventeen is completed, I hope to have an easier time writing chapters, as we will return to the ongoing battle between Jackie Chan and the Demon Sorcerers, starting with Tchang Zu, and then Bai Tsa. After Bai's debut, we've got a two-parter that was NOT part of Season 2 originally, and will foreshadow the future a little. From there, the rest of the Season features Xiao Fung, then Dai Gui, and finally, Tso Lan for the Season Finale.
I'm looking forward to getting Season 2 completed. Season 3 will see the introduction of a new character and ally of the Chan Clan, and the debut of the Jyutlong as one of the main antagonists, alongside Daolon Wong.
That's all I've got to say for now. Will write more later.

First December Post
I'd say that Chapter 16 is roughly halfway there... The major fight scenes are coming up in the writing stages, and Jamey's been offering good input so far. Chapter 17 isn't in the writing stages yet, but it IS being talked about at this point, as I write for Chapter 16... A synopsis should be drawn up, before Chapter 16 is published... Chapter 17, as has been stated in an earlier post, features the return of Queen Jade, and gives a brief reprieve from the Demon Portal Hunt.
I don't want to say much more, as I'm pretty sure you'll like how Chapter 16 comes out... I can't give a definitive date for publication, because of the holidays, but do know that Chapter 16 is around halfway done, and should be out before Christmas... Hopefully... Chapter 17 hopefully sometime before January 7. Apologies for the wait, but it was out of my hands, and will be out of my hands again, when college starts up again. My studies come first and foremost - I had little time for anything else. All I can say is sorry for all the waiting...

September's Newsletter
Sorry September's been slow, everyone. I'm getting back into the swing of school (after a year-long break due to job-searching), and that means that the four classes I signed up for have precedence over writing. Which means I've had... no writing time whatsoever. You'd be surprised how busy one can be with just four classes... It's annoying because I can only devote myself to three classes at most when I get the time to study... leaving one class to come back to later, when I've sufficiently studied in at least one class...
So, no Posts, no updates... and I apologize. The good news is: In about a month, give or take a little leeway maybe, I will have finished the one hybrid course that I am enrolled in. What's a hybrid course? Well... Picture a normal, 16-week class, compress that into 8 weeks, and there you go. It's very exhilirating, and I had no idea what I was signing up for, but I'm performing fairly well despite the quick pace.
Anyway... Even after that one class ends, the three remaining classes will still hold precedence over everything else, but at least I'll be able to have time to write, when I'm not obligated to thoroughly study. Just give me a month, give or take a little leeway, and my schedule should clear up even just a little bit.
Sorry to bore you with my college life, but I felt compelled to give a reason for the lack of Posts and updates. Unfortunately, due to college, not much has happened in the planning stages. I will confess some finer details were worked out for Hsi Wu's episode, and potential details for the two-parter of this Season (Episodes 7 and 8). I don't want to spoil anything right now - Hsi Wu's episode may turn out more interesting than I initially thought, and Episodes 7 and 8 will possess some significance. I will comment on 7 and 8 later down the line...
Apologies again for the lack of Posts and updates! I will consider putting up a poll soon.

August's Newsletter
August draws to a close, and I start attending college. Which means, I won't have as much time for writing as I did in the summer months. Hopefully Jamey and I will find a way around this...
Anyway... We're through Chapters 15. Po Kong is sealed away, and we move onto the threat of Hsi Wu next.
Hsi Wu... will be interesting to write for. What I can tell you is, there won't be a focus on his tail this time around. Now that Po Kong's Episode is out of the way, the main focus of writing centers on him and his episode. Not too much thought had been put into Hsi Wu's episode, but it's a little challenging to come up with something for him. Centering the plot around his tail again is too easy, and all we saw of him in the Demon World two-parter was him taking a bath up in a high tower, preparing to hang out with Tchang Zu. So, what to do with him? Perhaps the idea I do have for his episode isn't the best, but it should turn out fine. The premise of his episode is Hsi Wu is let loose, and he won't wreak havoc in the same way as Po Kong did. Instead, he'll have some sadistic pleasure in being a 'hero' of the night. Again, which kind of 'hero'? It's up for Hsi Wu to decide, really.
Moving on...
The Demon Portal Quest is repeating itself, albeit with fairly major differences. Teku and the Jyutlong are manipulating the Quest, as they did the hunt for the Talismans, and next Season they'll come to the forefront of the story, where they'll compete with the Chans and Daolon Wong for the mystical, Talisman-fueled animals of the Chinese Zodiac. That's still a ways off, granted, but in terms of planning, that arc will become increasingly important as Season 2 progresses. Keep your eyes peeled, not only on Teku, Lin, Mallah, Specter, and Xie, but also for cryptic clues of the main antagonist, who still remains shrouded in mystery.
Lastly, apologies for the long break. I'm not fully back, due to college, but I hope to get through Hsi Wu's episode next month, and to at least start penning the Queen Jade episode. It would be great to get to Tchang Zu's episode sometime early in October, but I won't hold my breath, because college is going to keep me busy. Sorry in advance, readers! I do plan to update this more frequently, to remedy the long periods of nothing. Though, as I stated above, I hope to find a way around periods like these.
Until next time!
